Vito Coppola

Vito Coppola was born in Eboli, Salerno (Italy).

Vito started to dance at the age of 7 in his father’s dance school. Over the years he took part in local competitions to enhance his skills and thanks to his hard work and dedication over the next few years Vito went on to become Italian champion at the age of 10.

Despite his young age, Vito went on to reach his very first World Championship while continuing to win championships all around the world. One of them being Blackpool junior at the iconic Blackpool Tower and GOC, with Vito going on to become the first Italian in history to win that competition at such a young age.

Vito continued to have a hugely successful dancing career earning many accolades and competitions. At the age of 28 and achieving his ranking of number 8 in the world, Vito decided to end his career as competitor to start a new chapter in his life as performer and choreographer.

Vito started his TV career in September 2021, as Professional dancer and teacher on the sixteenth series of Italian dance competition “Ballando con le stelle” (dancing with the stars), ultimately winning the competition with the singer Arisa. Afterwards his appearances on competitive dance series, Coppola worked on the Italian version of “The Masked Singer” as leading dancer. Since 2022, he has served as a professional on “Strictly Come Dancing”, paired with the singer and presenter Fleur East. Together they received the first perfect score of the series, finishing as runners-up from the twentieth series onwards. In 2023 Vito, together with his celebrity dance partner, the actress Ellie Leach, won the series, lifting the Glitterball Trophy, which made Ellie become the youngest ever winner in the Strictly Come Dancing history. Since Vito started his career in the UK he performed in every single Live Tour (Arena and The Professionals).

Vito is set to headline events for the following charities: Spread Your Wings, Macmillan Cancer Support and Tia’s Crown.
